Snowy Bryce

Snowy Bryce

Few things truly capture the beauty of this amazing park.  Big fluffy pow stops the heart of the most valiant visitor.  I arrived late in the night, unsure of what to expect when the sun arose, but I didn't want to miss the sunrise.

Light began to break around 630, and I got out of my car to a blistering cold wind.  I walked to the sidewalk to find that it had disappeared.  Feet of snow covered the path ahead, and there were keep out signs on the path.  Of course, I ignored these signs and plodded through the snow and the frigid wind to the many lookout points overlooking the horizon.

Eventually this is what met my gaze.  An endless canyon that opened up in thousands of colors.  And what's more, there wasn't another person to be seen (probably not great if I wasn't wearing super warm clothes)
